Every few years we all get that summons in the mail: jury duty. Today was my day to serve. I was all ready to go to the courthouse and perform my civic responsibility. But alas, I was not needed. I was excused.
So far in the five times that I have been called to serve, I’ve never actually had to go to the courthouse. Not yet.
At some point in my life, no matter how boring or exciting it may be, I want to be a part of it. Perhaps just one time so I can say that I did.
Side note: I was totally ready to Twitter as much of the jury selection as I could. I wouldn’t consider (nor should anyone be allowed) to do it during a trial. Anyone have any experiences with Twitter at the courthouse?
